Motion

I thought this was interesting with the bullet shooting through the edge of the crayons. The shutter speed must have been incredibly fast to capture the motion as crisp as it is shown here. I also thought it was a cool shot because you can see the matter from the crayons break apart in mid-air.

Panning Photography

This picture shows an example of panning photography of flamingoes. Out of all of the motion photography, I liked panning the best becuase the background is blurred while the focus of the photograph is still im focus. I picked the picture of the flamingoes because their legs are still a bit blurred from them running, yet their bodies are in full focus. It almost seems like a pattern in the background also with the different flamingoes.

Low Key Portrait

This low key photograph has high contrast with bright whites and dark blacks. It creates intense shadows with shadows and highlights. I like this one better than high key because these portraits are more dramatic than high key.

High Key Portrait

There's not much contrast in this photograph making it a high key photograph. THe gray scale tends to stay in the middle with even lighting.

"typewriter"

This picture is pretty snazzy the way the water is all blurred, but the typewriter remains completely in focus. The juxtaposition of the two objects works well together becuase one is strictly nature while the other is man-made.

Pinhole How-To's

http://www.rednotebook.org/pics/pinhole/index.html

I thought this little article was extremely helpful with understanding not only how pinhoel photography works, but also the basic principles of it. They give examples of great pinhole photos and a history about pinhole photography throughout the article without completely making the whole article about the history. They take several examples of modern pinhole photographers today along with several from when it first came out into the market. The writer of the article is clearly in love with the meaning and concepts of pinhole photography because he explains how pinhole photos can come out in any unusual way without you expecting it. Then, they go on to explain that it is exciting to see the final results of the photograph. The article definately helped me with explaining how pinhole photography works and the basic concepts with it.

Pinhole 2

I thought this was a nice representation for a pinhole photograph. The perspective compared to the wooden house is unusal with the blurred wooden planks. The clouds at the top make a nice effect like time is passing.

Pinhole

pinhole photograph of leeks
I saw this and thought it was pretty cool with the warped perspective.
